PACK UNICYCLE TEAM

     The PACK Unicycle team is now on its eighth season. We have two groups. The first one is the Beginners, which starts on October 8, 2010, Friday mornings at 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM . The program is designed to help kids learn how to ride a unicycle. The second group is the PACK Unicycle Performance Team. The PACK Unicycle Performance team program will start on September 27, 2010 and end April 27, 2010. These are students who have passed Level 2 on the skills test. The Unicycle Team meets regularly on Monday after school from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM and on Wednesday morning from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM .  Riders on the PACK Unicycle Team often volunteer their time with the beginning unicycle club on Friday mornings. A monthly practice schedule is provided each month.

       All students are subject to a $7.00 fee to join.  This fee will help keep up maintenance on 30+ unicycles, transportation costs for the performances and the end of the year award celebration.  All riders must bring and wear their own bicycle helmets during practices.  The students who participate are responsible for their own transportation.  Throughout the school year the PACK Unicycle Team travels to different school districts to perform.  To be part of the PACK unicycle performance team, the students must be able to demonstrate the following skills (Level 2 Test):

• Mount with left foot
• Mount with right foot
• Ride 10 meters between two parallel lines, 30 cm apart
• Ride a figure 8 with circle diameters smaller then 3 meters
• Ride down a 15 cm vertical dropMake a sharp 90 degree turn to the left
• Make a sharp 90 degree turn to the right

PACK (Level 3 and above)

Monday 3:30 PM- 4:30 PM

Beginners ( Level 1 & Level 2)

Friday 8:00 AM- 9:00 AM

If the Friday morning practice exceeds 30 participants a Tuesday afternoon practice will be added.

Tuesday 3:30 PM- 4:30 PM
